Jenny & Carter. wedding

This wedding was so special to me for so many reasons! Let’s start with Jenny and what an amazing girl she is- I met her 4 years ago in a women’s bible study and right off the bat I could tell this girl had an amazing heart, is so sincere, compassionate and wants to uplift others.

Watching Jenny and Carter’s wedding unfold was like watching a dream wedding in a movie in all the right ways! The day was incredibly thoughtful and special; the two were so smitten with each other and looked like they were able to simply soak in the day and enjoy each other through each moment (and all you brides know how hard that can be-wedding days are so crazy!)

And oh my goodness the details that went into this wedding were total eye candy- it made this photographer very happy!

{Ready for the First-Look!}

{I just thought this was adorable, he’s checking out his bride ;)}

{Sneaking their first private kiss as husband and wife! Woohoo!}

{First dance as husband and wife}

{I have to say, the speeches are usually my favourite part! You hear from the bride and groom’s closest loved ones about who they are and their journey to find each other. You  get to know people better in such a special way, I  LOVE IT!}

{Jenny’s father presented her with a gift…}

{A glass slipper because growing up she would ask him to play Cinderella with her and be her prince when he got home from work every evening}

Congratulations Jenny & Carter! Thank you so much for involving me in such a special day!

Caitlin & Joe. maternity

Caitlin & Joe’s ocean-side maternity shoot, full of driftwood and surrounded by mountain-scapes across the Puget Sound, was an absolute honor to be a part of!

Caitlin and I first met working at 24 Hour Fitness together and connected over our mutual love for photography (of course, I was a complete rookie back then, picking Caitlin’s brain on the subject whenever time allowed!). This girl was a complete hit in my books. Caitlin has that familiar southern warmth (home-grown in Mississippi), a fun sense of humor and a fierce drive! Believe it or not, hubby Joe was rooting for babies long before Caitlin got on board, which I kinda loved about him! He’s the quiet, intelligent type and his desire to be a father makes an incredible match for Caitlin. Okay! Enough bragging about my friends!

But seriously, when I get to finally post photos for a friend and reflect over their journey I feel so blessed to be a part of it in this small way. Caitlin, thank you for honoring me with this session, I can’t wait for motherhood for you!

Congratulations Caitlin! From one mom to another, I cannot wait for you to start your adventure with your little babe!

Munoz. family

Mini sessions in tree farms are a splendid thing! I had so much fun re-uniting with an old co-worker, Amanda, for a family holiday session 🙂 Amanda and Miguel have two of thee cutest daughters, Aria and Maryanna -I was frantically shooting as many shots of Maryanna eating those ornaments as I could!! Too cute! Happy Holidays, Munoz family! 🙂

Haughian. family

I was so excited to do a family session for the Haughian family this holiday season! My husband and I have been family friends with Nick and Jessica for a few years now and absolutely love this family (Nathan and I still quote some of Logan’s hilarious battle cries!)  They are celebrating their newest edition, baby-brother Lincoln and it was so much fun watching the two older siblings, Lucy and Logan, smother him with kisses!

Westerman. family

Pike’s Place Market and the Seattle waterfront was such a vibrant and lively place to capture the Westerman’s family photos last weekend! This character filled urban market seems to shout the Westermans’ name. I even heard Ashley making nostalgic comments of being back in the heart of a city; and chasing her and Brennan’s two boys, Vincent and Quinn, around the pier was just pure joy!

Brennan, Ashley, Vincent & Quinn -It was such a blast and such a pleasure being able to capture some beautiful moments of your family 🙂 Thank you!

 …After snapping all these amazing photos my husband and I took advantage of the trip and claimed a chowder bread bowl, walking the streets enjoying an evening to ourselves! It’s funny, Pike’s place doesn’t seem to change much, but I never bore of walking through the same vendors’ stands and perusing the same trinkets found through their many layers of shops!

Musseau. maternity

Sarah, John and soon-to-be big brother Jackson are expecting their newest edition January 2017!! Congratulations Musseau family, all your family and friends are so excited for the blessing God has in store for you in just a mere matter of months!!

Tori. seniors

I think I got some of my favourite landscape shots with Tori on our Eastern Washington desert shoot! She has such a beautiful and calm demeanor about her which made more dramatic and moody shots with the vast mountains and valleys surrounding us a perfect fit. (Sigh) it was just so fun! Tori is a junior this year but came along as an amazing model for our senior photos (I think I’ll hunt her down again next year! ;))

Mckenna. seniors

So McKenna was part of our dream team that went to the deserts of eastern Washington!  From what I got to know of this girl, she is hilarious and crazy (especially with her friends) and was fearless in front of the camera! I am soooo glad I had the opportunity to work with this girl!!

McKenna, you are awesome!!! Happy grad year!!

Morgan. seniors

This is Morgan!

We took an adventurous road trip out to eastern Washington a few weeks ago to catch these bohemian desert styled senior photos for her!! It was a total blast. Accompanying us were her two friends and I must say, those girls were great at entertaining themselves. Don’t let Morgan’s calm and soft expressions fool you, that girl is a total goof ball! So fun! 🙂

Dusk hit so it was time for a few fun shots with layers and candle light!

So excited for your grad year, Morgan!! I love that we are kinda sisters-in-law!

Brandon. seniors

Brandon is graduating class of 2017!! We headed down to the Everpark area of Everett to catch some brick walls, street lights and an urban feel to capture his hobby, gloving (you’ll see near the end of this post!!).

I often ask my male clients if they enjoy having their picture taken (to see how I can help them feel comfortable in front of the camera) and Brandon replies that “I love having my picture taken,” (Jackpot!). It was so fun spending the time with him and his mom, he was up for any kind of adventure for the sake of getting a good shot (a little too adventurous for his mom’s liking! ;)) So needless to say, we had a blast!

Milham. family

The Milham’s are such a beautiful family! I met Becky through our women’s bible study and was instantly drawn to her bubbly and humorous personality. She is so fun and I loved spending the day with her three charming kiddos and husband. After a last minute location change (that darn Mukilteo Light House Festival taking over our beach and parking lot! 😉 ) we spent our time at Harborview Park in Everett snapping some photos and playing tag 🙂
